    <descript>
County Mine Records are hyperlinks to scans of the literature originally found in DOGAMI published and unpublished hardcopy holdings. Scans have been grouped and combined into single PDFs that may include maps, letters, news clippings, photographs, and reports. Note that some PDF files are very large. These documents were then related to associated MILO points by DOGAMI personnel. Understand that recreation in or around inactive mine sites is extremely dangerous, and can result in serious injury or death. Stay out and stay alive!
      <purpose>County Mine Records is intended for use as reference material for individual MILO points. This data set represents the relationship of documents that have been referenced to specific MILO point(s) in a many to many relationship.</purpose>

    <datacred>The Mineral Information Layer of Oregon Release 3 (MILO Release-3) is a large database developed over several decades by DOGAMIs researchers and reporters. Funding for the compilation of MILO Release-3 during 2018 to 2020 was provided by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) National Geological and Geophysical Data Preservation Program (NGGDPP) under assistance award G18AP00102.</datacred>

      <attraccr>Attribute accuracy is tested by manual comparison of the source and hard copy scans. However some PDFs contain pieces of documentation that are not related to the specific mine listed in the title and other PDFs contain documentation on multiple mines and mine synonyms. Fixing these errors was beyond the scope of this project and no attempt has been made to fix these errors. The detail level (e.g. Title) of the source material and interpretation procedures for capturing that source affect the quality of the data. Not all fields contain applicable attribute and are filled in as unknown. Field checking of the data was not performed.</attraccr>

    <logic>Due to the many to many relationship some CountyMineRecords_IDs may be repeated, and/or some MILO points may be repeated. However no duplicated features exist although individual features may share some of the same attribute(s), but have differences in unique identifiers. Although the data were collected and reported by numerous people, the descriptions provided follow a consistent structure or terminology though the content may vary widely.</logic>
    <complete>Not all fields are attributed in the data set. These data are scans of the literature originally found in DOGAMI published and unpublished hardcopy holdings, though some documents may not have been included, the coverage is statewide.
