The points in this feature class represent the orientation measurements of structure planes (bedding attitudes, foliation attitudes, slip vectors measured at a point, etc.) within Oregon.
<purpose>OrientationPoint data are provided as a GIS feature class within a file geodatabase. This geodatabase contains cartographic representations for point symbols from Sections 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 of FGDC Digital Cartographic Standard for Geologic Map Symbolization (FGDC Document Number FGDC-STD-013-2006). Please see Esris Geologic Mapping Template for more details and instructions for using cartographic representations with bedding features.</purpose>
